Catapult
                                Week 8
What is force?
Gravity
Pull
Push
Acceleration
Gravity:
A type of force that pushes human beings down.

Pull:
Pulling something towards you.

Push:
Pushing something away from you.

Acceleration:
Increase of speed and action.

Today we made a graph of our data from the catapult by how far the cotton ball went. Here are some photos of the graph and data:

First of all Ruby and I finish our (1)cotton ball chart then we got onto our (3)cotton balls. After that we then learned how to make the graph the first time I tried I kept making mistakes but on my second go I got it right!!!!!!!!
I will be working on a model of a playground.

  •—catapult—•
           •—Week 7—•
Today we got into our groups for the catapult and the rocket balloon I chose catapult so I went into room 13 this is what we were doing...

After Danielle had said that we could go. Ruby came up to me and said “My catapult has broken can we be a group”and of course I said yes.

A thing that really made me think was that if you look at the photo again the  second one was 3m.61cm and the 3rd time it was 3m.94cm but the 4th time was 2m.93cm a meter and 1 centimeter difference.

  •—Ping Pong ramps—•
               •—week 6—•
On our first test run the ping pong ball fell off to the side of the ruler because we didn't quite know the right angle to put the ball on.

The next time we tried it we chose the angle a bit more carefully and it worked!!!!!!!!!

I chose the ping pong because I thought it was my best thing I did.

I worked with Aishani. To make it Aishani and I used a board, a meter ruler, books, clipboard and a box.

The ball went down the ruler and jumped into the box because gravity pushed the ball to the bottom of the ruler.

I wonder what gravity is and how does it affect the ramp and ball

The ruler was one of the main parts because the ball rolled down it.

I wonder how did it balance on the ruler.

The clipboard helped the ball jump into the box because the ball bounced off the clip and into the box.

I wonder how did the ball bounced of the clip.

Overall I learnt that gravity pulls you down but the forced that is pushed down pushes you back up.

Rocket balloon
                   Week5
Today we were doing rocket balloons or catapults I was doing rocket balloons.Today we were using
String
Straw
Balloon
tape
I was working with Savannah and Grace. We were working outside on the playground but we didn't get all of it done in time but we did get a good idea of how to make them.

               •~week4~•
Today we went into two groups, one was doing rocket balloon and the other one was doing  catapults.I got put in the catapult one with one of my friend Ella.

Danielle then started telling us about the catapults she said we will only be using…
Iceblock sticks
A cotton ball
A spoon
Rubber bands
A paper clip
Tape
First Ella and I made one with two sticks with a rubber band on top with two clips holding it down but it didn't work because the spoon went with the cotton ball.

We then put another rubber band on top and slid the spoon in the two. Here is the final one ⬇️
